Sons of Sevilla began in 2020 during lockdown by chance. At the time Reuben Smith was working on solo material for his second album with Soundway Records. When his brother Henry visited to play guitar on a track, they wrote a couple of songs inspired by the music of JJ Cale and a lifetime of the music they had heard growing up in their family pubs.
Henry takes care of business on guitar and bass, while brother Reuben steers the vocals and dazzles with thoughtful key work. Their album Lullabies For A Wildcat is just out on Ubiquity Records and is a collection of songs that evokes the spirit of the hazy 70s.
