Italian DJ/producer Lorenzo de Blanck steps onto Sound D’Elite this October with ‘Musik’, a three-track EP headed up by one of his most heavily supported recent productions. Already finding its way into sets from Marco Carola, label boss Ilario Alicante and others ahead of release, the title track leads a package that taps neatly into the stripped, groove-focused sound at the core of the label.
Rolling and steadily building in tension, ‘Musik’ is a proper terrace-ready cut, gradually increasing the pressure as it develops and showing exactly why it has already become a regular feature in key sets ahead of release. ‘Everybody’ shifts the feel with a bubbly bassline and chunky groove at its centre, bringing a looser feel, while ‘Perfect Time’ rounds things out with a lively, skippy rhythm that keeps driving forward without losing its groove.
A longstanding presence within Italy’s house circuit, de Blanck has built a catalogue spanning Hot Creations, elrow Music, Saved, Moon Harbour and Deeperfect, alongside years spent closely connected to the country’s club landscape. From appearances at Cocoricò to his work with Ferrara party Simple, that experience has fed directly into a sound grounded in house music and shaped by the dancefloors he continues to play.
