The Italian brothers usher in a new chapter for their boundary-pushing audiovisual universe, with the new single ‘Oh Baby’ out now.
Italian electronic duo Mathame, comprising brothers Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli, announce the launch of NEO Records, a new label marking the next evolution of their ever-expanding creative universe. The announcement arrives alongside their forthcoming single, ‘Oh Baby’, set for release on Friday 23rd October. To celebrate the launch, the duo have announced ‘Mathame & Friends’ show, a pop-up event at The Butcher Social Club during Amsterdam Dance Event to coincide on release day.
Known for pioneering their own distinctive strain of EmoTech, Mathame have consistently pushed the boundaries of electronic music, combining emotionally charged melodies, cinematic sound design and futuristic production with a vision that extends far beyond the dancefloor. With NEO Records, the brothers established a new platform for this vision, creating a home for music that reflects their forward-thinking approach to sound, storytelling and immersive art.
The label launch builds on the foundations of NEO, the monumental art project and narrative universe introduced through their debut album MEMO. This world has continued to evolve through NEOLOGY, a parallel audiovisual show built around a non-linear, anime-inspired film that unfolds throughout their live performances. Together, these projects bring music, technology and visual storytelling into a unified experience, exploring the intersection of the sacred, the futuristic and the emotional.
‘Oh Baby’ is an anthem that builds with raw techno energy and deeper sonics, creating an unfiltered brooding atmosphere that remains true to their signature sound. The single signals the beginning of this new chapter, arriving as Mathame continues to expand their global presence and develop the NEO universe across recorded music and live performance. The release follows their July 2026 single ‘Follow’ featuring Bonn, which earned support from DJ Mag, Rolling Stone France, Billboard and Anghami, alongside placements on major editorial playlists internationally.
Mathame’s reputation for pushing electronic music into new territory has seen them perform at some of the world’s most influential stages and venues, including Tomorrowland, Coachella, Ultra Miami, EDC, Sziget, UNVRS Ibiza and Hï Ibiza. Their innovative approach has also extended into technology, with Old Neural Mixtape Vol.1, an AI-powered project created for Apple’s M1 chip, later evolving into a groundbreaking 3D live show.
With 1.5 million monthly listeners, more than 100 million lifetime streams and 40 million YouTube views, Mathame continue to build a distinctive position within the global electronic music landscape. Their work has been recognised with a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix of the Year, while their music and performances continue to connect with audiences through an approach that places emotion and imagination at the centre of club culture.
