Israeli-Japanese DJ and producer Yamagucci has firmly established himself as one-to-watch within contemporary dance music. In a short space of time he has unleashed a discography that speaks for itself, including releases on Solomun’s Diynamic, Moscoman’s Disco Halal and of course, Adam Ten’s Maccabi House; the home to Yamagucci’s debut album ‘Baba Yoga’.

Following the album’s release last Friday, we invited Yamagucci to pick out ten tracks for us, enjoy!

1. D.C. LaRue – Cathedrals (Jamie 3:26 Extended Disco Dub Version) [Defected]

This dub version by Jamie 3:26 was a long time favorite of mine to play. He sets the vibe right away. It is impossible to not be caught by the crazy voice along with the classic disco strings in the back.

2. Omar S – The Shit Baby [FXHE Records]

This one has a perfect house bassline with beautiful piano playing that makes you feel as if in a Sunday church. The vibe that he brings to the dance floor is always unique and special.

3. Ash Lauryn – Dancin In The D [FWM Entertainment]

You can feel the sexy vibes right away with this one. With a fresh and krispy sound from the drum machine. The bassline talks perfectly with the vocals and makes it minimal dark and groovy.

4. Yamagucci, Adam Ten – Desert Fantasy [Maccabi House]

A hard-hitting, main-room inspired number, with Adam Ten. Gives me a happy and uplifting mood on the dance floor! This is out on my new album, ‘Baba Yoga’.

5. Scarper – E-Funk [Plexus Records]

House breaks & old-skool vibes with a crunchy electronic groove, a dreamy pad and massive bassline makes a really nice and unique texture for this tune.

6. Cajmere feat. Dajae – Satisfy [Cajual Records]

This Track has proper diva vocals in it. With a warm low-end, a housy groove and nice catchy minimalistic melodies that set the tone for a real dance floor banger.

7. Yamagucci, Millero – Follow The Hihat [Maccabi House]

My first collaboration with Millero, out on my ‘Baba Yoga’ album. I love the bassline and the main droop, it makes me dance every time I play it.

8. Guy Mac – Sonic Boom [Hot Creations]

This one is for real a sonic boom! Great masterpiece by Guy Mac. Those insane chopped vocals with the hard housy groove are so good.

9. Maceo Plex – Can’t Leave You [Crosstown Rebels]

This one is a pure classic from 2011 by Maceo Plex . One of my favorite tracks of all time.

10. Yamagucci, Dor Danino – JIM JIM [Maccabi House]

Also part of my album ‘Baba Yoga’, this track is a collaboration with Dor Danino. A funky bassline with great summer vibes.
