Today we’re pleased to welcome Israel’s Mita Gami who we have invited to pick out some tracks for us ahead of his forthcoming debut on Crosstown Rebels. September 16th sees Mita Gami debut on Damian Lazarus’ imprint with ‘High On’ alongside his fellow countryman, Adam Ten. Frequent collaborators, the pairing have previously released together on the Diynamic, REALM Records, Get Physical Music and more. Here’s what he picked for us, enjoy!
1. Xinobi & Meta_ – Mujer (Anja Schneider Remix)
An excellent remix by Anna, brings a lot of emotion with a deep groove. Every time I play it I see people falling in love with this vocal.
2. Red Axes – Flawless
The combination between hip-hop and electronic rock brings something new to the dance floor, raw vocals on a super sexy beat makes magic here.
3. Jamie Jones – Here Comes The Drums
That saw lead in the middle just breaks the floor every time. Super banger. The best part for me is the third drop on 3:40, wufff.
4. Catz ‘n Dogz – U
This is a hypnotic track for me. On the one hand, it has a kick-bass that turns it into a banger, on the other hand, the beautiful melodies that enter the break take the people to another world that they can dive into.
5. Yulia Niko feat. Coro Coro – Molly & Sally (Adam Ten & Mita Gami Remix)
The remix I did with Adam Ten for Yulia Niko and Coro Coro’s track Molly & Sally has been part of every set that I’ve played for the last year. It combines minimal, psychedelic and house worlds together and I think that’s what makes it special.
6. Psychedelic Research Lab – Keep On Climbin’ (Kim Ann Foxman Remix)
The house vocal on the acid groove always makes me dance.
7. YAME – As I Ran
As I Ran became a big hit in Tel Aviv. The indie-dance groove with those happy vocals can take the party to another level in the right place. I like the surprise you get just after the break when the massive vocals start.
8. Raxon – Tripworks
Raxon is one of my favorite artists and his productions are always so tight and powerful. This is a perfect filler for every set and the melody touches are beautiful.
