PIEM is the Catalan artist who is programming the MOODS nights at W London, and they are really making their mark. They offer real dance music legends in an intimate and stylish setting and the latest featured none other than Erick Morillo.

Before that, superstars like Faithless, Roger Sanchez and Spaniards Chus & Cebellos have all made their mark with Manchester’s Kreature serving up some sizzling warm up sets. The crowds have proven to be knowledgeable and up for a good dance. The setting is super edgy with an urban but stylish twist. Dancers move about on podiums, warm neon lights flash about and a huge disco ball hangs above the DJ booth.
Everyone gets a free drink upon arrival which means the party is lively from the earliest moments.  After the classy warm-up DJ, who does enough to get us going but not tire us out, the Subliminal Records boss steps up.

He wastes no time in dropping big house tunes with weighty drums. Vocals are teased in and out, synths cut up the floor. People punch the air and pose for plenty of selfies with the big man in the background. It makes for a friendly party vibe and something nice and up close and personal and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
