Having hosted parties in the Ibiza super club, Amnesia for a few years now, it was only a matter of time until one of the revered residents of the club CAAL, appeared on the label. He has teamed up with elrow resident, Baum, for the new Do Not Sleep release. The pair have released together a few times previously on labels such as Desert Hearts, elrow, Music, and Hector Couto’s Roush Label.
For their debut release on Do Not Sleep they have a 2 original tracks which, have had the remix treatment from Leon (Italy) another regular at the Ibizan super club, plus Australia’s PARKER. who was the supporting DJ for Do Not Sleep on its last Australian tour.
The title track of the EP is Every Nite, the original is a stripped back minimal tech house with a bouncing groove shuffling hi’s and killer little vocal hook that for sure will get people moving Every Nite.
On the remix front, first up is Leon. The Italian maestro regularly plays for Music On, Paradise, Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Sunwaves and many more and has released on labels across the board like Crosstown Rebels, Desert Hearts, Moan, Soma and more. For his remix, he gives this a touch dance floor chunk, adding a phat rolling bassline groove yet keeping the beats stripped, he adds some tripped out incidental sounds and vocal tricks to make this an absolute winner at 4am in the club.

Interview with Leon (Italy)
1.) What up Leon, good to talk to you sir! How was your Summer season despite quarantine and all else going on?
Hello and thank you, I am pleased to talk to you, it is a very difficult historical moment for our sector, we are almost all at a standstill, but in Italy a few weeks of July and August the clubs were opened and I did some dates, even important ones for example with Marco Carola in Venice and with Jamie Jones in Riccione, I had a lot of fun, it was almost a dream, you know after so many months lockdown at home! It was still the most different summer of my life, but I got to be more with my son and the people I love like family and friends, I had more time to dedicate to myself, play sports, and make lots of music! but now I just want to go back to my normal life!
2.) Tell me a bit about the CAAL, Baum release and how you got involved on remix duties?
I’m always very happy when someone from DO NOT SLEEP calls me to do a release, in this case a remix or a party, I’ve known Neil for a long time and he’s a fantastic person, one of the few in the industry with a great soul and super nice, so for me also this time it was a pleasure, the brand is very strong, every time there are excellent artists and also in this case doing the remix was nice, I think I did a good job! i hope you like it.
3.) Any plans for upcoming events and or live streams from you going into the end of 2020?
This is a good question, i have many releases planned, one on hot creations, toolroom, moan, and some remixes, i just did an important streaming for a Milan production, and i should play in a party on halloween but now i can’t say nothing, unfortunately with Covid nothing is confirmed, I am starting to work on some things for March and April 2021, you know we are all still a little scared and nobody knows what can and must do, we have to wait a little longer to make safe plans.
