Hey Milan, how are you, how has 2023 been for you so far?

Hi, thank you very much, I am currently doing really great. I’m super in my balance and the year has been really amazing so far. There have been so many great opportunities. Privately and also professionally. It’s really a lot of fun when things are going smoothly and you get feedback for all the effort. So many new and awesome projects completed.

How did you first get into dance music, and where and when?

Oh that’s really a great story. Actually, my brother taught me how to DJ with his turntables when I was 15 years old. Back then it was still with tribal techno records. That was really difficult to mix sometimes. Little by little I got more and more passionate for electronic dance music / techno and so the first club I visited at a young age was more or less pre-programmed. (hahaha at that time I was 16 or 17 years old) And then it grabbed me. I wanted to experience it again and again. It captivated me. The atmosphere, the energy of the music and everything that goes with it. And yes we were very young and pretty wild

How much impact does the German scene, landscape and musical history have on your sound?

Definitely the German scene has a very big influence on my sound. Sure the partying in Germany has also influenced me the most like the Timewarp Festival in Mannheim. However, I am very open to new music and the influences of the different styles. That always makes me very happy and that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it? In fact, I also like to be inspired by nature and Buddhism. You can hear this quite clearly on my first releases on TKR and DWY.

Tell us about the new single you have done for Complexed Records – what inspired it?

I’ve actually been following Drumcomplex’s Complexed Records label for many year as a big fan. I just always think the releases are great and play a lot of the label’s tracks in my sets all the time. Especially the ones from the label boss himself. Just a great artist 🙂 We met at Burning Beach Festival a few years ago and have been in contact ever since. Now to release on Complexed is just awesome. It’s really a dream come true. „Seelenspagat” was created during Lockdown 2021 and reflects for me the time and my personal feelings. Just a balancing act of the soul. I was not well in this time and the music has given me support and love. That’s where this track came from.

Where do you start on a tune – is it always the same place or do you hear different bits in your head first?

Hmmmm, I don’t always follow a concept when making music because I’m a free – so I like to be “Free” when making music. Sometimes I have to be really stressed to write great music. But also often it works great when I’m doing well and I`m in my rave life balance. Rave Life Balance? 🙂 hahaha it’s means the same like „Work Life Balance“ 🙂

What gear do you use to make your music and does that matter to you?

I work with Ableton Live 11 , the Ableton Push 2 and a lot of diverse midi controllers and plugin`s. Yes actually I like to spend a lot of time inside the DAW. However, I record most of the important themes of my songs with my Moog Sub 37 synthesizer. It’s a huge one.

How important is it to evolve with each new tune or do you like to try and nail a signature sound?

Yes, well I actually evolve with each track and that’s absolutely ok. I think that’s what makes an artist. Of course we are all looking for the “one particular signature sound”. But most of the time you can only find it if you are relaxed.

How do you judge success for your own tunes?

This question is not easy to answer. But I think my music does quite well. Hopefully 🙂 The feedback from many big artists is really awesome. I would not have expected that. That made me really happy when I got the evaluation of the promo. Just wow.

What’s next for you? What else you working on?

Currently I’m working on a new track for our festival Burning Beach. You can already hear the track as a trailer track for the festival promotion 2023. Of course I still have some more projects next to it but I don’t put any pressure on myself. As soon as the tracks are ready, I check on which label they find their home. That’s how I’ve always done it so far and I feel comfortable with it.

And I am looking forward to every single show. My team and I are already working on it. I will play in Berlin, Zurich, Cologne, at Burning Beach Festival, Nature One Festival, Container Love and many many more. It’s really great and I’m looking forward to every single show.

Thanks for having me guys. Namaste
