It’s been a minute since we’ve been this excited about the trajectory of an EP. Released today on TOKiMONSTA’s Young Art imprint, Baltimore-raised, LA-based Life On Planets shared his Dreamcatcher EP with us. It’s the perfect culmination of transcending lyricism and masterful hip-hop forward storytelling; deep house beats, and more.

The four-track EP jumps back and forth between lyrics that do just as the title suggests – they keep us in this mystical realm where we feel like we’re in a dream. Take ‘Atlantis’ (my personal favorite), where Life On Planets describes an underwater rager where even Neptune is in attendance. Partying with Roman Gods AND Life On Planets… add it to my bucket list!

Life On Planets is definitely an artist to watch. He just tore it up at Desert Hearts Festival in Lake Perris, CA, and caught our eye at The Do LaB this year at Coachella. He’s back on the road this summer, and even has a supporting slot for Australian dance music vets Flight Facilities! With this EP out on TOKiMONSTA’s label, I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for a collab in the future. Until then, I’m keeping this one on repeat!
