Sharam Jey’s seminal classic ‘Love Hurts’ has undergone remixes from the likes of BAKKA, Roberto Palermo, Vanilla Ace and more. Following the original’s success back in 2012 and widespread support from the likes of Solomun, Patrick Topping and Green Velvet, it was always going to be a special track to revive and what a super package it’s produced.

Aiwaska has been able to provide a deeper and emotive spin on the piece with a reverberating bassline and intense percussion throughout. Palermo offers a more vibrant affair whereas BAKKA delves into a driven intense and darker route. Vanilla Ace gives it a full-out hands in the air with a throttling kick drum and spicy hi-hats – Phonique goes four to the floor with a heads down groover, perfect for the deep house crew. This is a superb package that deserves all the success it brings, a shining light on what was a a classic electronic release from almost a decade ago.
