Robsoul hits the triple century and marks the occasion with Phil Weeks diving deep into the archives to unearth, dust off and polish up some previously unreleased projects, all sitting pretty alongside a brand new jam from the Robsoul boss.

A king of the cut up and master of the sample, Weeks has established Robsoul Recordings as a one-stop-shop for House music lovers. Deep jazzy grooves, filtered disco delights or nasty warehouse joints, all dipped in the magical dancefloor dust of Chicago, New York and Paris… The French label has become a treasure trove for the discerning DJ since its launch in 2000. Uncomplicated, supremely effective tools for the dancefloor.

Release #300 opens with excellent ’Thuggish Ruggish’, the brand new track from Phil. Bumping, filtered and laced with a super smooth vocal sample, this hits with intention.

Up next a brace of newbies in collaboration with fellow Frenchman and Robsoul regular, Joss Moog. The downy bass and filtered vocal of 2012’s ‘One Step Ahead’ has been tightened and remastered for release, sitting pretty alongside the aptly named ’Sure Shot’, with its spritely Rhodes melody and big bulbous bassline.

Digging back further still, all the way to 2011, we’re graced with a perfect double from Weeks and one third of Apollonia, Mr Dan Ghenacia. The pair go all in on ’Source Sure’ and ‘Push’. Two tracks that work perfectly in the mix, Source Sure lights the French Touch paper whilst Push delivers some 80’s Chicago flavour, topped with an electrifying vocal surprise.

A fitting selection for a milestone release… Time to get down!
