The cinematic French producer teams up with Titanic’s End Records co-founder for a deeply emotional and rhythmically rich collaboration on the newly launched imprint.

Just in time for summer, French producer RE\MIND and Asian-American disciplinary JK are making their collaborative debut on Titanic’s End Records with ‘Choro’.  An emotional Afro-house cut built around a rare sample from Brazilian legends Os Tincoãs, the track offers a deep emotional current, weaving spiritual storytelling into a textured dancefloor journey. JK recently co-founded the Titanic’s End imprint, alongside Nicholas Parasram, to spotlight timeless electronic music rooted in meaning. With the release of ‘Choro’, the cutting-edge label sets a high bar for what is yet to come.

Driven by intricate Latin percussion, nostalgic melodies, and a hypnotic vocal loop, the euphoric collaboration pays homage to Oxum, the Afro-Brazilian goddess of love, fresh water, and fertility. The track is anchored by a sample from Os Tincoãs’ ‘Chorojô’, sung in Nagô—a Yoruba-based language brought to Brazil by enslaved Africans and central to the Candomblé religion. Oxum’s tears are often seen as a symbol of sorrow, perhaps from a lack of water or compassion. Still, they also carry a message of hope, the idea that love, water, and softness always return– mirroring the emotional spectrum in which ‘Choro’ inhabits.

On the release, RE\MIND shares: “I’ve always been a huge fan of Brazilian music, especially vintage records, and the work of Os Tincoãs has had a deep impact on me. Their music holds a rare blend of spirituality, rhythm, and melancholy that resonates on many levels. Even though I’ve never been to Brazil, it feels close. This track is my way of honoring a culture that has shaped my ears, my heart, and my music.”

JK elaborates, “This track is a celebration of our shared rhythm – a fusion of the human spirit and modern energy. It’s the sound of one global tribe rising together, moving as one, and remembering where we came from.”

Already earning global support from BBC Radio 1 icon Pete Tong, ‘Choro’ has also been championed by a range of influential tastemakers, including Afro-house pioneer Black Coffee, multi-platinum breakout artist Stryv, Brazilian rising star Maz, Ibiza mainstay Andrea Oliva, deep house futurist FKA Mash, and more. The track marks a debut collaboration between RE\MIND, who is known for his emotionally charged Afro-house discography, and JK, whose work through Titanic’s End is building a new space for storytelling-forward dance music.

RE\MIND is part of a new generation of producers blending precision, emotion, and cinematic depth. Known for his commitment to Afro-house, he was among the first to bring a film-inspired atmosphere into the genre, crafting tracks where storytelling meets rhythm, and pianos carry the weight of silence and space. Originally from France, he has collaborated with international artists and continues to shape a sound that’s both personal and universal. His production credits span the pop and electronic spectrum, having worked with Ava Max, Bob Sinclar, Swedish House Mafia, Jason Derulo, and more.

More than just a record label, Titanic’s End Records embodies the ethos of community, creativity, and sustainability. With deep roots in Black Rock City and the Bay Area’s art and music scene, the label reinvests its efforts into artist support and ocean conservation, reinforcing a larger mission that has already caught the attention of Billboard.

The Titanic’s End art car has cemented its status as a cultural landmark in dance music, hosting performances from Diplo, LP Giobbi, TOKiMONSTA, and Francis Mercier. Recently, the vehicle was featured at Fisher & Chris Lake’s Hollywood Blvd takeover— a historic event that drew over 12,000 attendees.

As Titanic’s End opens its doors to the world, ‘Choro’ stands as a poignant offering, a track that both honors the past and signals the future of global, emotionally driven electronic music– with RE\MIND and JK leading the charge.
