The legendary Cobblestone Jazz strikes again with a new three tracker on ITISWHAITIS Recordings that was recorded in Berlin at Freedom Engine Studios before it was packed up and moved to Lisbon.
Generations is a three-track capture of a band at full tilt. The title track stretches its legs with cinematic pads and is anchored by a growling PPG Wave. It’s deep, emotional and drenched in analogue magic. On the flip, ‘The Whipper’ is for a warehouse rave at 4 am with raw distortion making it the group’s wildest ride yet, and already tested in Mathew Jonson’s solo sets to great effect. Finally, Generations (Version) trims the fat, adds punchy percussion and aims straight for the heart of the party.
This is another must do outing from this innovative outfit.
