Mitch DodgeSlack Maneouvres returns with its fifth release as a label, this time offering up a classy cut of Lo-Fi House from Liverpudlian artist Pinksock, who debuts on the label with a record drenched in summer nostalgia, “Thinkin’ Bout U”. Currently based out in Taiwan, Pinksock has kept a low profile, moving under the radar as an underground electronic producer. With a sound inspired by artists such as Bicep, Floating Points and Mall Grab’s more sincere moments, Pinksock’s self-released discography spans the worlds of Breakbeat and UKG to House music but with an ambient twist.
His label debut “Thinkin’ Bout U” has everything you could want from a summertime record, a smooth House groove, lush, yet emotionally driven chords and an infectious yet, washed out vocal melody that’ll swim through you mind throughout the summer of 2024.
