A leader on the German melodic house front, Powel makes his return to Lee Burridge & Mathew Dekay’s  All Day I Dream for his most expansive release on his neighboring imprint yet. Given the producer and underground stalwart’s relationship with the All Day I Dream crew, which began with a release in its earlier years, the lead-up to what has now been dubbed Eolomea felt right. The EP fits well into the label’s dreamy aesthetic.

It opens with breezy piano chords and vibrant instrumentals through “On A Whale Through The Desert,” inviting you into its warm embrace. Then comes its namesake piece, which picks up the energy and sets the rest of the EP’s flow in place. “At The Waiting Room” feels like a warm breeze, easing the mind into beds of harp and other layering meant to evoke a heavenly feel. “Sabeth” concludes Eolomea on a wildly emotive note, with Powel expressing his internal monologues with floating notes and lo-fi nostalgia. The EP is certainly one of the more memorable releases of the year for All Day I Dream, and gently carries us into fall.
