With American, Italian and Danish roots, John Alto is a DJ, an artist, a skilled producer and remixer with a passion for club music. His signature sound is dark, bass heavy and cinematic, and he has worked with artists, writers and producers like Maurice West, Silque, Ganz, Nadine (from M.O), Nicklas Lif and Ofelia.
John Alto´s first release was on Martin Garrix´s label STMPD RCRDS in a collaboration with the German duo TwoWorldsApart. He was also commissioned by Sony Music to remix Coy´s Promises and for Norwegian superduo Seeb on their release Free To Go (feat Highasakite).
Over the course of 2022 and beyond, John aims to firmly establish himself as a solo artist of real note with a strong of releases that explore the various shades of his personality, the first of which, My Heart feat Rallie, lands this April.
Ahead of the release of My Heart 09 April, John Alto has picked 10 of his all-time favourite cuts, going in deep on both melody and atmosphere with his selections.
Big Wild – 6’s to 9’s (CAZZETTE Remix)
Knowing CAZETTES usual heavy bassline style, this fresh melodic track always gets me in a good mood, especially when I crank it up.
Devault – Leave Me Low
One of the best late summer night tracks of 2021 in my opinion, and will be definately jamming to it this year.
Lastlings – Take My Hand
Lastlings were a golden gem I cam across this year, with their vibes of melodic house, and amazing vocals that bring the much desired emotional element to almost every track of theirs. This one in particular is my favourite.
Devault & Caleb Peters – Carousel (Remix)
I hear this track in a club not too long ago, and I instantly Shazamed it, and I haven’t stopped listening to it since. 100% would recommend this one.
Miane – Who Are You? (Chris Lake Remix)
Coming from one of my personal favourite artists, it was no surprise for me to hear this beauty, and then to instantly like it. Chris Lake never disappoints.
BRONSON – Heart Attack
This bass heavy yet emotional track will definitely catch you off guard with its super minimalistic drop, yet with its flush sound design and simple drums, it sounds so sick.
Apashe – I’m Fine (Imanu Remix)
One of my favourite tracks of 2021 for sure, if you haven’t heard this one, check it out now!
Odesza – Falls (Golden Features Remix)
This track is just a sound design gold mine, regarding its amazing bassline manipulation, vocal stabs and just the entire vibe in general. Perfect for when you’re driving around.
Joachim Pastor – Millenium
It’s hard to say, but this may be my all time favourite track… Absolutely perfect!
Rüfüs Du Sol – On My Knees
“Powerful”, is the best way I can describe this one, just amazing from the melodic group, and would definitely recommend this one!
