Contributing WriterOLING has marked himself as one of Scandinavia’s most exciting Melodic House and Techno artists since his first EP ‘Aves’ dropped on Jeremy Olander’s Vivrant Imprint in 2021. He now presents his latest EP, ‘Get On The Floor’, two intimate club cuts, for Sasha’s label Last Night On Earth.
OLING’s background as a drummer forms the foundation of his productions, building tracks with intricate rhythms and captivating harmonies that have earned support from John Digweed, Patric Bäumel, Adriatique, and Hernán Cattáneo. His global performances have proven him to be a powerhouse, supporting artists like Above & Beyond.
“These tracks were created during the dark Swedish winter of late ’25. I was fully immersed in the process, shaping extended cuts for intimate, late-night club spaces. Around that time, I revisited the Delta Heavy documentary and loved every minute of it, so the fact that this EP ended up on Sasha’s label feels amazing. I hope these tracks carry a similar sense of timelessness in the long run.”
Favouring a stripped-down approach, OLING takes inspiration from the serene forces of nature and the frenetic pace of modern life. Funk-charged opener ‘Get On The Floor’ positions listeners in OLINGS’ sonic realm, inviting them to explore the balance of contrast and harmony in his melodic structures. Second track ‘Motor’ builds anticipation as pads are warped and stretched, creating a hypnotic and captivating performance.
