Contributing WriterMyd – the French DJ/producer – has today dropped the title track from his forthcoming album “Born A Loser“, which is expected to arrive in April on Ed Banger Records. Flipping the memorable vocal sample (“I was born a looooooser”) from the 1967 reggae record “The Loser“, Myd has given the track a terrific house rework that we didn’t know we needed..
The track comes with a glorious music video, featuring Myd being chased around his Paris apartment by a dystopian doppelgänger. He shared some words about what the song is all about:
“The song is an anthem dedicated to all the people who think they are losers. This feeling should give them the strength they need to go and achieve great things.”
“Born A Loser” is the 3rd track that Myd has thus far released from the impending album: Together We Stand and Moving Men feat. Mac DeMarco, both of which came with uniquely funny music videos.
