Sydney-based DJ / Producer For Life has just revealed his delectable new single ‘My Eyes’ – produced and mixed by the artist himself and mastered by Suture Mastering (Dom Dolla, Willaris.K).
‘My eyes’ is an infectious summer scene, touched by dreamy elements of reverb-soaked synths, intriguing chord progression and brooding bass. The soothing mix washes over the listener before introducing energenetic kick drums and staccato chord lines that lift the track into its rave-like choruses.
For Life talks about the meaning behind ‘My Eyes’:
“I have almost always made music for nightclubs, but I love music for all times. I wanted to work with interesting chords progressions and want to DJ to the sun setting courtyard. I want people to feel good, and I want everyone to dance.”
Previous singles have been widely supported by Australian radio stations triple j, triple j Unearthed, FBi, PBS, Radio Adelaide and 97.9 FM. He’s also seen praise from worldwide tastemaker blogs This Song Is Sick (USA) and Acid Stag.
In the live arena, For Life has performed as a DJ and multi-instrumentalist at festivals such as Splendour In The Grass and Field Day, sharing the stage with heavyweights Mark Ronson (UK), Steve Aoki (USA), The Presets and RÜFÜS DU SOL.
For Life is the project from Sydney-based Adam Bozzetto. He has worked on pieces for ABC TV, TEDx and Optus and has produced and remixed records for international labels Universal Music and Island Records. He’s currently a finalist in the 2022 APRA/AMCOS Professional Development Awards, as well as doing some work for music non-profit Heaps Decent who work with kids in Juvenile Justice Centres.
