Yung Bae and Cosmo’s Midnight have unveiled the official lyric video for their collaborative single ‘Straight Up Relaxin’, out now.
Shot on an idyllic LA beach, the psychedelic, endearingly lo-fi lyric video for ‘Straight Up Relaxin’ sees the track’s hazy, feelgood energy communicated in visual form, with Yung Bae – and his beach-ball-booping corgi – pictured enjoying the sunkissed West Coast living.
The release comes as Yung Bae has been announced to perform at Electric Forest in June, while he will also support Grammy-nominated dance favourite Madeon on his North America tour in Spring.
Since signing to Arista Records/Sony Music Entertainment, Yung Bae has released a string of buzzworthy singles, including a new version of his viral track ‘Bad Boy’ featuring Wiz KhalifaMAX and bbno$. The original ‘Bad Boy’ featuring bbno$ and Billy Marchiafava has over 100 million streams, viewed with over 2 billion impressions across 1 million videos on TikTok. Most recently, Bae released ‘Revolving’ featuring Marc E. Bassy and ‘Disco Body Parts’ featuring AWOLNATION‘Wonder’ featuring Channel Tres and‘Silver and Gold’ featuring Sam Fischer & Pink Sweat$, alongside collaborations with Mike Posnerkenzie and others.
The bright keyboard timbres and idiosyncratic beats of Cosmo’s Midnight are the creation of twin siblings Cosmo and Patrick Liney. Working with collaborators from the pop, indie electronica, rap, and EDM realms, they made their major-label debut with the 2015 EP ‘Moments’, since dropping albums What Comes Next and the ARIA-nominated Yesteryear.
The carefree video for ‘Straight Up Relaxin’ perfectly captures the mood of the track itself.
