Copenhagen’s own electronic marvels, WhoMadeWho, have delighted fans by announcing a world tour that’s shaping up to be more than just concerts—it’s a series of immersive, multisensory events. The trio, consisting of the multi-talented Tomas Høffding, Tomas Barfod, and Jeppe Kjellberg, have carved out a unique space in the music world, blurring lines between genres and presenting live shows that are consistently lauded as legendary.

With a history dating back to their formation in the early 2000s, WhoMadeWho has been a force in the international music scene, known for their dynamic live performances and a sound that’s as eclectic as it is electric. From the pulsing beats of indie and disco to the depth of techno, they’ve crafted a genre-defying narrative across seven studio albums. Their 2022 release “UUUU” marked another chapter in their innovative journey, drawing accolades for its avant-garde soundscapes.

As they gear up for their 2023-2024 global tour, the band is set to visit cultural hubs like Istanbul, Paris, New York City, Los Angeles, London, and beyond, with more destinations on the horizon. Fans can expect a live experience that incorporates all the signature elements that have made WhoMadeWho a global phenomenon, along with some novel additions.

Joining forces with the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the Danish architects behind some of the most iconic structures of our time, the band is set to transform their stage into an architectural masterpiece. BIG’s track record includes the conceptual marvel “The ORB” and the revolutionary design of the Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet in Switzerland, showcasing their ability to push the envelope in architecture.

To complement BIG’s structural innovation, flora&faunavisions and EyeMix Studio have been brought on board to weave together the visual magic. Flora&faunavisions is known for their work with music icons, creating visual narratives that resonate with the energy of live music. EyeMix Studio, led by Solo Avital & Ariel Vromen, plans to infuse the performances with visuals that embody the essence of WhoMadeWho’s sound, likening it to “the electronic essence of Pink Floyd.”

This tour is not just a series of performances but a celebration of WhoMadeWho’s journey from the clubs of Copenhagen to the grand stages of Coachella. It’s a homage to their artistic evolution and a bridge to the future of live music. As the bandmates themselves put it, this project is their “most ambitious and elaborate” yet, promising an unprecedented connection with their fans.

Music aficionados and novices alike are invited to join WhoMadeWho on this transformative journey, where music, design, and visual art collide to create a live experience that’s truly groundbreaking. Prepare to be part of a spectacle that redefines the essence of an electronic live act with WhoMadeWho leading the charge into the future.
