As DJ for over fifteen years, Lee Spence AKA Pirate Copy is one of the UK’s most in-demand DJs and producers on the underground scene. His sound sits comfortably between house and techno with elements of acid and analogue warehouse vibes becoming a noticeable influence throughout his more recent releases. He is signed to leading electronic imprints such as Solá, Relief, Moon Harbour, Toolroom and Elrow, his productions not only remain a permanent fixture on the Beatport charts but also in the sets of globally-recognised DJs like Patrick Topping, Solardo, De La Swing, Matthias Tanzmann and Richy Ahmed.
Pirate Copy has been on the line-ups of some of the world’s biggest events, parties and venues, including Fabric London, elrow Barcelona, The BPM Festival (Mexico & Portugal), The Warehouse Project, Parklife Festival, We Are FSTVL, Space Ibiza, Forbidden Forest, Hideout, Amnesia Ibiza, Canal Mills and many more.
Alongside his DJing, Pirate Copy has spent the last thirteen years running the formidable events brand and record label, Kaluki Musik. Recently completing their first summer residency at Privilege in Ibiza, he has been instrumental in taking the brand across the world, booking names like Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Joseph Capriati, Jamie Jones and Dubfire on curated stages at Hideout Festival, BPM, Parklife and more. The brand also has an offshoot record label of the same name which to date has signed 218 tracks across 60 releases.
