A lucid purveyor of sound, Speaker Honey is a jack of all trades. Hailing from San Diego, the multi-instrumentalist leads with a future-focused state of mind. Debuting on mau5trap in 2019 with her Night Visions EP, the dance music luminary returns to the deadmau5-run label with her 2-track Together All Night 2 EP, available now worldwide.

Sitting at the intersection of the Internet, old school cartoons, and Ableton, you’ll find Speaker Honey. She’s the amalgamation of everything she knows and loves: synth-laden music, loud urban raveware, and animation. The fast-rising star can be found creating immersive techno soundscapes through each sweltering release, and her Together All Night EP is no different. Leading the charge is “All Night,” a techy, electro-infused treat with a larger-than-life kick riding it’s infectious synth melodies. Showcasing her unique knack for nefarious instrumentation, “All Night” is Speaker Honey at her technical best. The 2-track EP culminates in “We Belong Together,” a collaborative effort between Speaker Honey and VVVIRTU. The pair connected through their “SHARE-YOUR-SONG Monday” stream, and not long after, the enchanting single was born. Glitchy synths carry the track’s introduction as old school club vocals power their way into the spotlight. An impressive feat of production prowess, Speaker Honey’s 2-track Together All Night is the artists’ long awaited return to the mau5trap spotlight after the release of her Interrupted EP in 2020.

“This EP is special for me. Not only are ‘All Night’ and ‘We Belong Together’ reflect very real emotions that surfaced for me during quarantine.  In a way, they reflect the vibe I was craving, and feeling while at home and waiting for our world to open back up. ‘We Belong Together,’ produced in collaboration with VVVIRTU, is very special to me because it is the first song that I have released in collaboration with someone I met through our SHARE-YOUR-SONG Monday streams. To be able to connect with a real community of talented artists and ultimately have this song emerge, is really really awesome. I can’t wait to keep exploring this direction, & hope to work with more new and emerging artists in the future to bend the boundaries of electronic music.” – Speaker Honey
