Long regarded as one of the go-to producers in the UK electronic scene, James Hurr has made a name for himself as a prolific artist/writer/producer under both his name and a string of aliases. His collaboration roster reads like a who’s who of pop and dance including such prestigious names as Tiesto, Acraze, Meduza, Basement Jaxx, Mark Knight and Beverley Knight. With consistent support from BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM, signings across all major labels as well Ministry, Spinnin, Ultra and Armada, and over 100 releases on Toolroom Records, James Hurr is the real deal.
Teaming up with Hurr on ‘Vibe Like That’ is the awarded producer and songwriter, Simon Field. From Oslo in Norway, Field produces a distinct sound entirely through analogue gear. Some of his most popular cuts have come via Perfect Havoc to include ‘Shake The Tree’ (20 million streams), and ‘Out of the Blue’ (6 million streams) with a string of DJ A-listers supporting his work from Tiësto and Hardwell to David Guetta, and Benny Benassi. With a catalogue of work that has featured in the Academy Award-nominated film Passengers and in the Netflix series Elite, as well as being the curator of one of the biggest independent playlists on Spotify (Ibiza 2023 – 582k fans), Field is a constant force in creating original and modern sounds.
Featuring on ‘Vibe Like That’ is the British singer-songwriter, Georgia Meek, adding to her string of credits alongside Punctual, Yoshi Breen, Camden Cox and Ki Fitzgerald. The songstress made her explosive entrance in 2018 with the critically acclaimed single ‘Bare’, later scoring some of Love Island’s hottest moments over on ITV2 and capturing the support of BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music. As a performer, Meek is anything but that, wowing tens of thousands of fans at the UK’s best-loved festivals, Radio 1’s (virtual) Big Weekend, Liverpool Sound City and The Great Escape.
