UK electro-funk masterminds Franc Moody have announced the launch of their new label: House Of FM. As a home for the duo of Ned Franc and Jon Moody to independently release their work, it will eventually serve as a home for other artists as well. In celebration of the label’s launch, they’ve released their lead single of 2023: “Move Me.” Following up last year’s critically acclaimed record Into The Ether, it finds Franc Moody at their best with a dance-inducing groove. The track clearly exemplifies why SPIN have praised their output as “a work of art” while Billboard have called their creative endeavors “delicious serving[s] of roller-skate-worthy delight.”

Franc Moody explains their newest “is the first release on our new label House Of FM. It feels like a bit of a landmark moment for us in terms of our continued journey as independent musicians. That freedom, spirit and sense of community defines our project and we feel ‘Move Me’ encapsulates this moment perfectly. It’s a tune built for the dance floor, with a Godzilla-sized bass riff at its core. Enjoy!”

Mixing disco, house, and funk into one compelling blend, Franc Moody have attained an organic, grassroots fanbase that’s evolved from their days in the Tottenham warehouse scene. Fronted by prolific co-vocalists & producers Ned & Jon, their debut album Dream In Colour dropped at the beginning of the lockdown while ironically honing in on the concepts of togetherness and community. Since the album’s release, they’ve gone on to participate in projects like the Music Venues Trust fundraiser and release a wholly sustainable merch line while hosting online parties and performances like the “Live In The Lift” livestream, all the while releasing their House Of FM EP. With over 175 million streams and support from legends like Nile Rodgers and Skream to date, they would go on to release their anticipated full-length Into The Ether in 2022 which garnered support from SPIN, GRAMMY.com, Billboard, UPROXX, and more. On the live circuit, they staged their biggest show to date at the 5,000-cap Eventim Apollo in London alongside a year-ending performance at The Novo in Los Angeles. Now positioned to dictate their own future with the launch of House Of FM, the coming months are bright for London’s finest.
