Contributing WriterBritish singer-songwriter Sam Tompkins continues his productive start to 2020 with new video for single ‘stand ten feet away from me’.
A heartfelt ballad that’s steeped in emotion, ‘stand ten feet away from me’ sees Sam at his bold and brilliant best, with his soaring vocals and sparse acoustics combining beautifully.
It follows recent single ‘Kings’ and features on his three-track EP ‘isolation diaries’; a self-written, stripped back acoustic ode to love in the digital age. Sam celebrated the release of his EP with an ‘isolation diaries’ Virtual World Tour supported by Live Nation, during which he performed separate shows for fans in Europe, Asia and Australia/NewZealand. He was also invited by Google to perform at one of their ‘Nest Sessions’, which were designed to improve listeners’ moods over the May Bank Holiday weekend. Other performers included Jessie Ware, Olly Alexander, Celeste and Mae Muller.
Proving that lockdown is no obstacle to making stunning music, ‘stand ten feet away from me’ is the latest in Sam Tompkins’ recent collection of heart-on-sleeve acoustic creations.
