It’s about damn time we get a solo EP from our boy Nutty. He’s been behind the scenes of Hood Politics patiently waiting for the right time to release these BOMBS and the time is now, on our 1 year anniversary.
This EP is an ode to all of the styles we’ve embodied throughout our first year as well as a pure representation of the evil genius production monster that is Nutty. Although this seems to be the case with every one of his releases, we have to agree that this is his best work yet.
Full Circle was created to be manifest the the soul of pure tech house. A deep driving bass line, layers and layers of synthesis surprises, distorted vocals, and all the FXs a fiend could ask for.
Call Me balances the purity of the title track with grimy bass and chopped up vocals with a sex appeal. The percussion stands out in this one, dividing the track into unique grooves that keep the energy throughout the entire track.
Because of the significance of our one year anniversary, we decided to bring in some best friends of the label to handle the remixes. Riffa, Emuh, and Casmalia all come correct with such uniquely different takes on the original songs, they all come together to create a perfect sampler of the many faces of Hood Politics Records.
