Mindfulness master Wim Hof and DISCIPLΞS member Gavin Koolmon‘s TRANSMISSION project served up their rave-inspired single ‘LOVE’ at the end of 2023, and now it receives a pumping remix treatment from Newcastle breakthrough talent Schak on Patrick Topping‘s Trick.
Schak’s remix of ‘LOVE’ opens with the original’s spine-tingling monologue from Wim Hof as trance-tinged chords build around it with layers of reverb that give off a celestial feeling. When the drums drop, they are hard-edged and pumping with plenty of smart filters and raw percussion to ensure dance floors erupt.
A name that is evermore in the spotlight and a trailblazer of the Makina subgenre, Schak’s return on Trick once again showcases his trademark, high-energy sound following a whirlwind 2023 that saw him play a legendary Mixmag Lab stream, a viral half-time set at St James’ Park and everywhere from Ibiza to Creamfields.
