Contributing WriterJuicebox Music welcomes Nichols for a new EP that finds the solo producer serving up plenty of tense and essential techno. He is a producer who has had success with the likes of Matt Tanner and has played plenty of Carl Cox gigs, and that shows in his sounds.
Timeslide is first and is a dark tune with warped bass, sci-fi synth motifs and slick percussion that really gets you marching. Harlequin is another late night and menacing tune with eerie atmospheres and plenty of shady techno vibes that really suck you in. Nascent State is then a more twisted tune with edgy synths doing dances over the raw, stripped back drums, and finally The Stand is a cosmic number with rippling little melodies and a spine tingling sense of tension that really keeps you enthralled from start to finish. Overall an excellent EP.
