We caught up with NYC’s Moonlight Records to discuss their top 5 inspirational labels…
RF
For a few years now I’ve been really feeling the flow of artist’s and tracks that this independent Vancouver based label RF have been releasing. Run by devoted. Techno pioneer, Rennie Foster, guarantee’s the quality of this labels catalog. Also, the help that Moonlight has received from Rennie has been unforgettably appreciated.
Soiree
Moonlight had the opportunity to premier a bunch of new promos/releases from Detroit based, Soiree Records on our show on Sugar Shack Radio back in,     October/November 2018. The scope of quality music that we discovered was inspirational and specific to the quality we try to mirror. We hope Moonlight can one day  stand next to labels like this.
Lost Palms
Lost Palms have been one of the most inspirational labels for us over the past few years now. Their beautifully uniformed designs and elegantly put together releases make this label, for me anyway, one of the most beautiful Deep house labels out there.
Shall Not Fade
Shall Not Fade is a label very similar to Lost Palms, being its sister label, actually share some of the same artist’s. What I love about this label is its ability to  subversively think outside of the box when creating incredible Deep House releases. If you really want to know what I mean, please check them out.
Sugar Shack Recordings – Sugar Shack Recordings are like family to me. Even though I’ve not yet released anything with them, their online radio station and group of  artists/teammates/family members have this incredible way about them, that you can’t help but feel nothing but love.
Catch up with Moonlight Records here and their latest release here, Spring Sampler featuring Funk D’void, Kloves, Joe Silva, Derrick Thompson.
