Born and raised in Miami and residing in Orlando, Slugg is a Florida favourite – exemplified by appearances at the likes of iii Points, EDC Orlando, Floyd and The Ground. With his sound fuelled by hip-hop influences, pairing them with rolling and percussive beats, his productions have quickly found favour with heavyweights such as Loco Dice, Jamie Jones and Joseph Capraiti, while his own label, getbusy, has represented the sound of the 305 on a global scale.

Following EPs via Reecords and Andhera, his latest project sees him journey back to his roots on ‘Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy’ – a ten-track mixtape epitomising exactly why he’s held in such high regard as an up-and-coming name to know of.

Loaded with playful adlibs, infectious samples, bumping basslines, slick percussion and influences spanning house, Jazz and beyond, the ten tracks deliver that classic hip-hop mixtape format, bringing a collection of cuts made for the floor.
