Today we’re pleased to welcome Lucas Alexander who we’ve invited to pick out ten of his favourite tracks of the moment. Having first caught our ears with releases on the likes Moxy Muzik, HE.SHE.THEY., META and more, we’re delighted to see Lucas back with another standout release on Darius Syrossian’s imprint, this time with the ‘La Di Da’ EP, a release that’s certain to make a mark this summer! Here’s what he picked out for us, enjoy!

1. Locklead – Tripped Out (Vatos Locos)
Love everything about this track, all elements fit perfectly for some orchestrated anarchy! I think Locklead is one of the most exciting producers at the moment.

2. James View – Growler (Seven Dials)
This one’s just outrageous, big room sounds fitted perfectly into a stripped back garage influenced roller. One of the best tracks, so far this year, can’t wait to see what James View drops next.

3. Lucas Alexander – Tomchenko (Moxy Muzik)
Love showcasing different sides to my production and this really explores a more minimal side. We still keep those heavy basslines rumbling but also sprinkle in some lovely pads for a bit of euphoria in the breaks. This felt like the perfect b side on the La Di Da EP.

4. Seb Zito – Lift Me Up (Seven Dials)
Another dance floor destroyer from the main man. Seb’s rave inspired sound blurs the lines between minimal and garage. This one’s guaranteed to get any party started.

5. Parsec – I.C.E (Inter Records)
Love this track and the eerie synth is the perfect element added to this rolling reese journey. My hometown brother has killed it with this one!

6. DXNBY – O&G (Speedy G) (Bandcamp)
The vocal sample describes this one perfectly “Original House & Garage”. Sounds old school, feels old school but such a fresh take that checks all my boxes.

7. Lucas Alexander ft Pablo:Rita – La Di Da (Moxy Muzik)
The happiness this song brings whenever played is something spacial. Pablo.Rita came through with a perfect re sing of the original vocal and the love and support this track has received is crazy.

8. Reelow – Daft Prunk (Moxy Muzik)
As usual Reelow has nailed the drums on this one. Love the trippy elements and the bassline makes it impossible not for o move on the dance floor.

9. Tuccillo ft Kindbud – Underground (Archie Hamilton Remix) (House Of Tucci)
A slice of House music mixed with some acid and a vocal that’s been stuck in my head for weeks. Archie’s remixed this one into something I can’t stop playing.

10. Den Haas, Close to Custom – No Excuses (What NxT Records)
Heard this one played at Fuse, Printworks, London and have been loving it ever since. The way they’ve used that Wu Tang vocal is so good and I could listen to that bassline for hours.
