The next split release from Zatar continues the party from volume 1 – keeping the groove locked into the label’s distinct subtle yet effective vibe.
GRIFE are up first with Ones and Zeros, a slinky, rolling house number with bubbling bassline, ethereal pads and all the space in the world to get lost in.
The second track on the release is the French producer Jas/t’s Reflective – a much more direct transmission with a powerful kick / shaker combination that drives the groove forward. The track adds touches of Middle Eastern melody to punctuate the arrangement, resulting in a curveball that will win a lot of fans from the leftfield.
