South London rapper Knox38 returns to Donae’o’s Movin Anti label with new single ‘Ooh Nana’, out 9th November.

Propelled by a unique production featuring vibrant instrumentation and South Asian vocal samples, ‘Ooh Nana’ is a slick Afrobeats-inspired jam that allows Knox38’s smooth flow to take centre stage. It follows debut single ‘Options’, an acclaimed release that was premiered by GRM Daily and has already amassed more than 100,000 YouTube streams.

“Making Oh Nana I was in such a free and refreshing mind set.” Knox explains, “I want the listeners to feel the vibe through every note sung, every bar laid and the instruments constructed in the production. I want them to feel as free as I was feeling making the song a couple weeks out of incarceration”

Donae’o says, “Oh Nana was the first song I heard from Knox38 that made me pay attention. The beat was tremendous but his delivery was next level. I had to sign the song so I could share Knoxx 38 and the riddim to the world. This is 100% my driving song.”

Already riding a wave of quietly bubbling hype built up by word of mouth and a handful of online freestyles, Knox38 is all about keeping things natural. He started out freestyling over drill beats and old school R&B tunes and now makes music designed to get parties started. With loads more music in the works, he is among the most exciting emerging rappers in the country.

Only his second musical release, ‘Ooh Nana’ is the work of a talented young artist who is already turning heads.
