London duo JADED have returned to Diplo’s Higher Ground (a spin-off of Mad Decent) to deliver their sixth release on the label. “Mirror,” featuring Indira May, who the group collaborated on their 2021 track “The Lights,” is a fiery tech house single imbued with a mesmerizing brass section.

“We wanted to play around with the concept of reflection in humans,” JADED remark on the new track. “Usually, what you don’t like in somebody else is a reflection of what you don’t like within yourself. As humans, we are constantly mirroring others all the time without realizing it, and subconsciously becoming the people we surround ourselves with.”

JADED first formed in West London in the mid-2010s and draw inspiration from pioneering dance acts such as The Prodigy and Basement Jaxx, grime innovators like Dizzee Rascal and Kano, as well as pirate radio and formative nights at London clubs Fabric and Ministry of Sound. As producers, songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists, the tight-knight duo are full of boundless talent and creativity, which has helped them cultivate a sound from a broad sonic palette whilst also making records for many other artists within the dance world.

The duo has earned the confidence of several prominent dance labels such as Higher Ground, Club Sweat, Stress Records, Toolroom, Insomniac Records, and more. As their notoriety builds, JADED have plans to embark on an expansive tour that will take them through four continents before the end of the year. On August 6, they’ll join Higher Ground boss Diplo, Bob Moses, and Solardo for an open-air label showcase at Seattle’s Fisher Pavillion.
