The two are just releasing some brand-new material having given Wrabel and Kesha’s pop celebration of self-love and perseverance “since i was young ” the indie-dance remix treatment.
Written by Wrabel and Kesha with Stint (and released via Wrabel’s Big Gay Records), “since i was young” pairs the powerhouse vocalists together for a cathartic ride from childhood into adulthood, and its lyrics explore topics of sobriety, identity, self-love, and gratitude. boiish reimagines the slow-churning original record into an effervescent ballad driven by gripping basslines and playful percussion.
boiish’s “since i was young” rendition marks the bubbling pair’s first official remix release, which will be followed by their official rework of VenessaMichaels x Kaleena Zanders’ ‘90s-inspired summer sizzler “Creme Brulee” that drops next Friday, August 28.
