London singer-songwriter Carla Monroe has dropped her debut solo single ‘Shapes’, out now.

Already an esteemed dance music vocalist, Carla’s versatile vocals take centre stage in her debut single, ‘Shapes’, a high-energy house heater. Written with the dancefloor in mind, the track was created after Carla spent some time reminiscing over what it feels like to be on a great night out with friends.

“It had me thinking about all the things everyone loves most about a night out,” Carla comments. “Taking the music and the vibe, sharing special moments with people you care about, cutting shapes until the early hours of the morning and not wanting to go home!”

With over 2 million monthly listeners and collaborations with the likes of MK and Oliver Heldens under her belt, Carla Monroe is already a household name in the British dance music community. She first lent her irresistible vocals and writing skills to the MK single ‘17’, a track that topped the UK Dance chart and peaked at #7 in the UK Singles chart. Carla worked with him again on last year’s ‘2AM’, which has racked up 15 million Spotify streams to date. More recently she linked up with Australian dance duo Nervo on ‘Gotta Be You’, a single that has racked up 3 million Spotify streams in less than two months.

A fresh, feelgood dance jam, ‘Shapes’ marks the first chapter in the solo career of one of the UK’s brightest vocal talents.
