Brian Cid returns after a big year last year that saw him put out his debut album. Now he is on the Endangered label with four more of his special cuts that continue to mark him out as one of the finest names in the game.
Light in the Lotus is the shuffling opener, with late night keys and chords all bringing neon light and future soul to the sounds. Species of the Other Kind is more uptempo and urgent but just as musically advanced, while Spirals is built on stepping and stuttering drums and chords that boom with a late night menace. Melting Clock is the closer and is a magical affair with drifting and swaying drums and standout synth work that really lights up the grooves. Killer stuff overall.
