Best Dutch festivals to attend this Summer

Summertime is just a few months away and we can’t wait to hit some of the incredible festivals we are blessed with each year. Whether that be in the United States, Asia or Europe, there’s so many to choose from. In this feature, we are focusing on Europe and more specifically the Dutch techno scene. We’ve selected our top picks for Dutch jaunts throughout the festival season.

When the sun shines there are few better places that Sloterpark in Amsterdam. It has plenty of tree-lined spaces in which stage are build and magical musical memories are made. Loveland is a fantasy escape with a music-loving crowd and huge names playing such as Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Maya, Stephan Bodzin, Marco Carola, Âme, Carl Cox and Solomun.

A festival for the dreamers, Free Your Mind is about getting lost in lights, lasers and music. Now into its 16th year it really knows how to throw a proper party and in 2019 the soundtrack comes from Kölsch, Luuk van Dijk, Michel de Hey, Patrice Bäumel, Richy Ahmed, ROD, Rødhåd, Sasha, Wouter S and more.

Music On Festival

Marco Carola is a real icon of the global techno scene. His Music On is one of the most famous brands in all of the genre, and each year he holds a party under that name in Ibiza. Before then, though, he holds his own two-day extravaganza in Amsterdam. It features all the biggest names such as Oxia, Loco Dice, Paco Osuna, Marco himself plus many more.

Drumcode Festival

Acclaimed Swedish techno DJ Adam Beyer and legendary Dutch brand Awakenings will team up once again for the second edition of Drumcode Festival. The event will take place on Saturday 24th August at the NDSM docklands in Amsterdam.

Diynamic Festival

Diynamic has become house music’s most notable label. It is run by Solomun and he leads the charge at each and every event round the world. This one in the Dam is a one day affair with all the key protagonists playing such as Adriatique, Apparat (DJ Set), ELAX (aka Boys Noize), Gerd Janson, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Mano Le Tough, Stimming, Tale Of Us, and many more.
