A writing camp in Jamaica has brought together two different corners of Miami’s music world, with Rob The Bank and Venezuelan-born artist MARTE linking up for their new single, ‘Alive’. Taking shape during sessions at Pompey, the collaboration sees MARTE contribute her vocals and songwriting, with production from Rob, DEDRO, and SLAMM’s Mati. Released via Rob’s independent High Risk Records imprint, the track brings MARTE’s genre-spanning approach into the mix, drawing on the musical versatility that has made her an emerging name across Miami’s club circuit.

From Club Space and Factory Town to III Points and Boiler Room, MARTE has built her reputation through sets that move freely between Techno, Jersey Club, Footwork and Latin Club, while her EVIL MARTE alias ventures into deeper House and Minimal territory. Rob The Bank, meanwhile, has been carving out a different path. Having initially found an international audience online, he’s since turned his attention to production and DJing, with appearances from Miami and New York to Ibiza. He’s also been building High Risk Records into a wider music and events platform in Puerto Rico, and with ‘Alive’, those different musical backgrounds meet on record, adding another release to Rob’s growing music catalogue.
