Spain’s Rafa Barrios arrives on Sound D’Elite with his ‘Shake That Body’ EP, with the three-tracker set to drop on 22nd May. Having released on labels such as Intec, Hottrax, Toolroom, and Repopulate Mars, with multiple Beatport Top 10 hits across his catalogue, Rafa’s productions have become ubiquitous amongst top selectors like Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones and more. Away from the studio, the BANDIDOS and Rewards. label boss continues to push rising and established talents, as well as performing on the global stage at ADE, OFF Sonar, and beyond. Following a busy start to 2026, he fuses this energy into a funk-laden EP for his first outing on Ilario Alicante’s imprint.

Opening the EP ‘Shake That Body’ , a thunderous cut at heart, intricately layers a crisp, tumbling percussion over a snaking groove while slick vocals and sharp synths work their way into the mix. ‘Reach Out’ raises the energy with an infectious, showstopping presence as arpeggiated organ chords and echoing female vocals drive the track to a powerful crescendo. To close, ‘Burn For You’ ties the EP together with its old-school progressive edge, blending percussive rhythms with a distinctly funky flair.
