Tel Aviv–based duo Red Axes have been announced as the next artists to curate a release in fabric Records’ long-running fabric presents series. fabric presents Red Axes lands on March 20 and features 16 tracks spanning new Red Axes material, exclusive edits, and deep cuts pulled from across the electronic canon.
The announcement arrives alongside a new single, “Hot Rod To Hell And Back,” out now. The track is a dancefloor rework of a 1982 electro landmark by Man Parrish and Roy Garrett, reimagined by Red Axes with their signature hypnotic pressure and psychedelic edge. The compilation also includes another new Red Axes original, “Time To Take It,” alongside selections from A Guy Called Gerald, James Infiltrate, The New Black, and more, underscoring the duo’s wide-ranging influences and curatorial sensibility.
For more than 25 years, the fabric presents series has served as a snapshot of forward-thinking club culture, previously featuring mixes from artists such as Andrew Weatherall, Surgeon, and The Martinez Brothers. Red Axes’ contribution reflects their long-form, narrative approach to DJing—favoring tension, atmosphere, and emotional flow over quick peaks.
To mark the release, Red Axes will perform at fabric on March 21, co-headlining alongside DJ Tennis, who curated the previous fabric presents installment.
“Hot Rod To Hell And Back” is out now. fabric presents Red Axes follows on March 20 via fabric Records.
