Australian-Japanese sibling duo Lastlings are on a hot streak with club-ready remixes this summer, off the back of their latest stunning rework of Cassian’s track “Together ft. Thandi Phoenix.” Today the pair have released another rework of their single “No Time”, from rising British producer Will Easton.  The original launched in June with an accompanying Anime-style music video, paying homage to their Japanese heritage. Grammy-nominated band RUFUS DU SOL also took to the single with their own masterful remix earlier this month.

Easton’s edit takes on a life of its own with his second-to-none production skills and provocative bassline. Transforming Lastlings’ brooding melodies and emotive vocals, he effectively turns “No Time” into an eight-minute dance floor weapon.

Lastlings are known for their seamless fusion of dark-pop and melodic-tech, often drawing on their Japanese roots for lyrical and visual inspiration. Their prior single “Take My Hand” showcases their musical precision and attention to detail that has captivated remix tastemakers like Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Torren Foot. Most recently they unleashed an acoustic version of “No Time,” which further demonstrates their advanced artistry. Will Easton has quickly garnered attention from underground selectors and firmly planted his footing in the electronic scene. Since releasing his EP 18 Month Free Trial, he has notched his way up in the Beatport Top 10 and has gained international recognition for his masterfully designed tracks. Easton has earned support from notable names like Kettamma, Richy Ahmed, Solomon and Sasha, with tracks featured on labels like Street Tracks and Stress Records. The remainder of the year proves to be even bigger for Easton, with anticipated collaborations with duo Camelphat, as well as an upcoming EP on DJ Haus’s Hot Haus featuring a remix from Theo Kottis.
