Welcome To My Crate XL is a free audio podcast focusing on dance music, cultural topics, studio/DJ tips and general tomfoolery. The long form conversation is hosted by globally active DJ/producer Chris Manik aka MANIK, alongside friends and special guests.

Episode 24 features Rich Medina, a DJ, educator, and spoken word artist. He teaches Hip Hop 101 at Lincoln University and guest lectures at Cornell. Rich also gave a TED Talk on the city of Philadelphia. He has cemented his reputation as an elite DJ over the past two decades and also established ‘JUMP N FUNK’ in 2001, North America’s Original Afrobeat party, dedicated to the late Nigerian icon Fela Kuti. In this episode, we speak about his journey to Philadelphia, taking a corporate gig after college, diversifying as an artist and becoming a lecturer/educator in higher education, Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers, and much more.
