With a 30 year DJ dareer under his belt, countless DJ awards, 5 international DJ Tours, and 21 years studio experience, Dr Packer is no stranger to the music business. 

In 2013, Dr Packer Greg began playing around with old Soul, Funk & Disco records in the studio, and applying the same technique as if he was writing an original track, and the results have been overwhelming to say the least.

Within months he had topped the Juno sales charts with his Surgery Edits series and had been signed to labels such as Disco Dat, Z Recordings, Midnight Riot, Masterworks Music, Hot Digits and caught the attention of heavyweights such as Joey Negro, Dimitri From Paris, Simon Dunmore, Carl Cox, John Morales, Greg Wilson, Late Nite Tuff Guy all requesting his reworks to play in there DJ sets.

Shortly after Defected Records head honcho Simon Dunmore requested some remixes resulting in being signed to Glitterbox Records for a full length album in 2018 Different Strokes featuring 18 remixes of artists such as Purple Disco Machine, The Shapeshifters, Kathy Brown, Soulsearcher, Candi Staton to name a few, the album received the No. 2 position overall genres on Traxsource best albums of 2018, Different Strokes volume 2 will also be released during the summer of 2020 featuring 20 tracks in total.

Salsoul, Defected, Glitterbox favourite ended 2019 as No. 2 artist on the Traxsource Nu Disco / Indie Dance and previously taking out the No. 1 artist in 2018 and 2017, in 2019 he’s hardly stopped playing completing his 5th European tour including dates in Ibiza , Ministry Of Sound London, he saw in the new year 2020 in Melbourne sharing the headline with Todd Terry and DJ Spen.

Greg Wilson selected 6 of Packer’s reworks to feature in his choice reworks of 2019 saying ”Our old friend Dr Packer is once again the most prolific contributor with 6 entries, including 3 of the top 4 and the No. 1 being his rework of Steve Arrington – Feel So Real,  the Perth based DJ originally from Northampton UK, has seen his profile raise significantly this year, with a series of European dates helping further enhance his burgeoning reputation.”
