Family Piknik Music is a vital French label and festival that serves up proper techno. Now it is back with a new compilation that shows off all the stars on its roster.
It’s been a big year for this label with Fisher and Carl Cox both pleasing huge festival crowds with its releases while Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo and Sven Väth have also been dropping that FP heat.
Tom Pooks is the boss of all this and he appears with a remix next to Joy Kitikonti as well as being remixed by Cosmic Boys. Both are big tunes that set this collection alight. For more stripped back and late night modes check Ambivilance and his excellent FIB, while Between The Lines feat. Michaël Lestat from Pontias has a crisp, clean groove that keeps you there.
Mike Spirit’s Monkey See, Monkey Do is a groove built on weighty kicks that really invite you deep in and Keys Of Gods (Marc Romboy Resyncussion) is as excellent as you would imagine from such an admired veteran.
This is a bumper edition jam packed with floor rocking heat that every techno lover needs in their life.
