Touquet Music Beach Festival returns on 24 and 25 August 2018! With an endless expanse of sand, the sun setting on the horizon, two nights of music and sand beneath your feet, this year’s edition is determined to mark the occasion with a packed weekend of concerts, DJ sets and board sports! After a trial edition in 2016 and a follow-up boost in summer 2017, TMB is back this year to stake its claim in the Hauts-de-France cultural agenda with an even bigger and better line-up and greater organisational commitments.
The custom-built stage sets respect the natural setting of Le Touquet beach. Sports activities will be the stars of the show during the day, with local clubs taking part, and a third free day, on Sunday, when all the town is invited whatever their age! These are the challenges set by the TMB 2018 edition to reach a new milestone.
As for music, TMB showcases talent from the French and European scenes, by expanding its line-up. The team from Les Nuits Electriques Lilloises is at the helm, as always, to put together a programme combining electronic, pop, hip-hop and current favourites, like the singer, Juliette Armanet or rapper, Lomepal, and the eagerly-awaited headline act for an entire generation, Phoenix. Electro still has pride of place, with performances from legends like, 2manydjs, Cassius, Boys Noize, or the mysterious Malaa. Added to this is a hint of the French Touch, with Breakbot, a touch of Belgian hip-hop, with Caballero & JeanJass, a pinch of Indie pop from Parcels, and a sprinkling of young French talent, like Vendredi sur Mer, Haute and Saint Lanvain. So, you’ve got all the makings for a fantastic weekend on the beach.
The Touquet Music Beach team is determined to bring together the people of Le Touquet for one day and to always make the festival a multi-faceted happening. Consequently, the team is organising its first Olympic games this year to celebrate sport, so dear to the heart of Le Touquet Paris Plage. All kinds of sports will be celebrated : kitesurfing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, tennis, horse-riding, archery, petanque and beach volleyball. Active days and dancing by night! On Sunday, there’s time to relax with the family for “Happy End Sunday”, a new addition to this year’s festival. All will be revealed in detail very soon!
