Contributing WriterBerlin based Italian Ruff Stuff is somebody who impresses us time and time again with his warm essential grooves on the likes of 803 Crystal Grooves, Sculpture Records, Sloth Boogie, and of course his own long lasting Ruff Stuff Ltd. Next up from his is a dancefloor cracker entitled Bouncing Hearts on STRCTR accompanied by Demuja for the remix.
After a long time we asked Ruff Stuff who impresses him, and that he recommends to keep an eye on….
Marie Lung – Probably one of the best sets I saw last year was from her. Marie was playing just before me for the Soul party Hallo Montag and I was enjoying it very much. Amazing dj skills on a 100% vinyl set and a very good taste for good music.
Leo Pol – Leo is on a great ascending curve. I was following him for a couple of years and I fell in love with his music . Despite great production skills, I think he gives his best when playing live… every track is so groovy that it is impossible to stay still. Plus is a super nice guy!
Marina Trench – Another great act I enjoyed last season on Koffäin party at IPSE. She played a very energetic set full of great house bangers infused with a lot of 90’s house and deep tunes that made the crowd go crazy.
Black Loops – He does not need big presentations. I’m very happy to have the opportunity to have Riccardo as a friend and sharing the studio together. From time to time we enjoy back to back sets for our residency at Koffäin and it’s always super funny. He has a great sense of groove and he shows it both on his own productions as well as on his sets.
Thalo Santana – I saw Thalo playing for the first time a few weeks ago at Watergate. I was really amused by the kind of selection he made. He was opening the party with a very stylish selection of underground house tunes creating a great atmosphere on the dancefloor.
