Twain is the second album from Till Krüger. This 10 track opus is no doubt inspired by becoming a father to two children, and arrives two years after this fine debut long player.

“Twain is about focus, duality and contemplation. In music and life,” says the artist. And it shows here in a range of tracks that take him beyond the dance floor and into new realms. There is a real cinematic feel to it as electronica and ambient piano sketches both mix in to great effect.

There is a great mix of driving breakbeats and airy piano chords to open the album before Deux has a sombre feel that is washed away by more cheery keys. Dos is a roomy and atmospheric piece with sensitive keys and distant electronic texture. Due has a misty and foggy feel while Iki is a mix of using rubbery drums and thoughtful pianos. To is a sun kissed electronic cut with lithe synth work and the album ends on the sublime Ori, a lush piece of celestial piano playing and plenty of hope.

Till Krüger impresses once again here with this magical new album.
