After the success of their first promotional venture together – Visionquest 13 party in November – the Culprit gang and Craig Pettigrew of The BPM Festival return to the excellent Lot 613 space for their second signature party. Yet another collective of world class DJs are the special guests: Apollonia is the trio of Dan Ghenacia, SHONKY and Dyed Soundorom. Though Apollonia as a collective is only 2 years old, all three of its individual parts have been elite artists in the underground scene for many years.
Having all come through the vibrant Paris house music scene over the last 15 years, the trio have long been friends and co-conspirators. Their first project together was the legendary Freak n’ Chic label. Run by Dan Ghenacia, the imprint served as the first platform for the immense talents of rising young stars Shonky and Dyed.
The common experiences of Freak n’ Chic and years of touring and DJing together have helped this threesome to form an almost telepathic understanding. Cemented by their common residency at that bastion of best underground music – DC10 Ibiza – Dan, Dyed and Shonky made the natural next step in forming a collective and a new label around it. Since then, their incredibly coherent and complimentary back-to-back-to-back sets have already become the stuff of legend, from DC10 to Fabric, Panorama Bar to all discerning festivals worldwide.
We are thrilled to see the Apollonia make their west coast debut, last time we saw them was at their label showcase at The BPM Festival and that was a day of music we will never forget. We can only imagine how amazing this night will be!
